JUMBO BLOCK ®
The JUMBO BLOCK® system was developed in 2012 and first installed in a ZANNI GROUP industrial incineration plant in 2013. The concept was born out of the need to create effective and sustainable methods for liquid storage of hazardous liquids and rainwater management while utilising urban space efficiently, as the consequences of climate change were and continue to be foreseeable.
The development of the system began with the vision of transforming traditional road systems into multifunctional surfaces that serve not only as transportation routes but also as massive rainwater storage facilities. Through advanced engineering technologies and extensive research, the JUMBO BLOCK® system has been continuously optimized to ensure maximum stability and capacity.
Today, JUMBO BLOCK® represents a revolutionary technology that can be installed under roads, squares, buildings, and various other infrastructures. It offers unlimited capacity for rainwater retention and storage, playing a critical role in the global fight against flooding and water scarcity. Its ability to adapt to different climatic and geological conditions makes the system an essential solution for modern cities and sustainable construction projects worldwide.

We will focus on integrating intelligent technologies into the JUMBO BLOCK system to enable even more efficient and precise control of water management aspects. IoT integration within the JUMBO BLOCK® system offers numerous benefits including real-time monitoring, data analysis, remote control, maintenance and diagnostics, resource efficiency, and the ability to respond quickly to weather changes. This is crucial given challenges related to water scarcity and extreme weather events. Our commitment to sustainability is also demonstrated through the use of Distributed Ledger Technology, facilitating secure value and data exchange without fees. Unlike blockchain, we utilise a DAG architecture, which significantly reduces computational power and energy consumption. Leveraging the IOTA network, our goal is to offer a more sustainable and efficient ecosystem for the Internet of Things (IoT).
The JUMBO BLOCK system will not only excel in water storage and retention but also expand its applications. New developments could see the system deployed in urban water management, agriculture, or temporary water storage solutions. Already, the JUMBO BLOCK® system spans various environments and locations, including urban areas, industrial zones, rural regions, slopes, river valleys, commercial facilities, public spaces, residential areas, parks, and transportation routes.
Our commitment to sustainability will deepen further. JUMBO BLOCK integrates innovative approaches to optimise the carbonation process and reduce CO₂ emissions. Special concrete additives decrease CO₂ permeability and promote calcium carbonate formation. We plan to continuously enhance CO₂ reduction measures and integrate recycled materials into the JUMBO BLOCK system's production process, leaving an even more positive ecological footprint.
To enhance the effectiveness of the JUMBO BLOCK system, we will intensify partnerships and collaboration. Working with research institutions, government agencies, and industry partners will aid in developing innovative solutions for water management challenges.
